The Equine and Farm Experience is available for 1:1 use focussing on animal and farm related topics and courses. This provision is aimed at children and young adults aged 5 onwards and is used alongside schooling to help increase education, reduce barriers to learning and re-engage students. We can offer a choice of bookings and can offer these up to three times a week.Please find below the information on our provision and the courses we offer.

 

The exclusive facilities at the Equine and Farm Experience include fully enclosed stabling, secure outdoor area, indoor learning room and a quiet area that can be used for animal therapy and relaxation. By using these facilities alongside the tailored developmental programmes, we open up educational pathways and scaffold the experience to reduce the barriers to learning. We specialise in offering a safe, secure learning environment which contains an array of animals and farm related responsibilities and topics. The holistic approach we follow will engulf learning opportunities and provide therapeutic experiences whilst delivering a hands-on educational and tactile experience.

 

The courses offer a hands-on and educational experience where developmental resources and worksheets help to scaffold the hands-on practical learning. We have a variety of courses on offer including animal care, horticulture, equine care and environmental studies. We offer a selection of options including course length, session times and specific aims. Each course will run for a five to seven-week period. Each individual can be booked in for one to three sessions per week. All the packages include a bespoke curriculum, a record of achievement, developmental resources, use of animals and facilities at Ford Farm alongside 1:1 teaching sessions.
